Divine Mother and Child Foundation(DMAC FOUNDATION) is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) to identify, address and prevent maternal and infant mortality rates in Ghana as well as promoting women empowerment and gender issues.


A community with a well protected rights for girls and women where they enjoy equitable access to available resources for their holistic development.


Implementing sustainable and cost effective interventions geared towards the empowerment of children, girls, women and other vulnerable groups whilst improving their holistic wellbeing with a focus on their developmental and reproductive life stages.


DIVINE MOTHER AND CHILD FOUNDATION (hereafter referred to as DMAC FOUNDATION ) is a Maternal and child health, advocacy based, non-governmental, not-for-profit, independent, organization founded, registered and based in Ghana, West Africa. Its primary purpose is to promote maternal and child health as well as preventing diseases through education.

DMAC FOUNDATION established in 2014 , it was registered as a Company Limited by Guarantee with Registration Number CG103682014 by the Registrar of Companies. A young Ghanaian gentleman called Edmund Duodu Atweri, a Nurse by profession founded DMAC Foundation (Ghana). His desire was to translate her knowledge of nursing to bring relief to the many women and children to promote their health as stated in the Millenium Development goals(MDG)4 and 5

He got this passion after he organized a beauty pageant in 2013 for student nurses in the eastern and volta region to promote maternal and child health. After that program he saw the neeed to do more as a nurse to help achieve the MDG 4 and 5. He together with other young nurses and midwives numbering 10 formed DMAC foundation This was in response to the pressing need to increase the awareness of the Ghanaian public, decision makers and Government on the impirtance of women, children and other disadvantaged groups, and to actively promote their health through advocacy, training, public education and service delivery to the identified beneficiaries. Thus, DMAC Foundation targets women, children, decision makers, and government.
