JOY INDUSTRIES - DMAC FOUNDATION COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECT

This is a partnership between Divine Mother and Child Foundation,(NGO) and Joy Industries a company located in Akwadum near Koforidua, Eastern Region and producers of local herbal products like Joy dadi bitters, Joy twedie bitters, Joy soap and ointment.

They also own a radio station, Bryt fm in Koforidua currently under test transmission.
This project is aimed at 'Bringing Joy to the helpless' in our rural communities

Activities of this initiative includes FREE HEALTH SCREENING AND EDUCATION of diseases for early detection and treatment.

The screenings are on
*Hypertension( checking of blood pressure)
*Diabetes (checking of blood sugar)
*Anaemia (checking of haemoglobin levels)
*Malaria(checking for malaria parasite using the random diagnostics tool)
*Hepatitis B
*Syphilis
*HIV
*Body mass index
*Typhoid fever
*Blood groupings

The vulnerable members of the community including children, women, aged and the disabled will also benefit.

Medical bills and donations in forms of food, clothing's, money will be given out.
For the past year now, this project can boast of health screenings and donation in the following rural communities both in the eastern and volta regions of Ghana benefiting about 90000 individuals

*Ho in the volta region
*Workers of Joy Industries
*Woe in the Volta region
*Tegbi in the Volta region
*Bossovilla (Akyemansa district) Eastern region
*Nanyor (Asuogyaman district) Eastern region
*Koforidua
*Afosu
*Botanso Nsukwao electoral Area in New Juaben municipal

Through this partnership two successful surgeries have been sponsored worth GHC15000. 00 at the Korle Bu Teaching hospital.
